Higher cancer risk in Parkinson's sufferers

People with Parkinson's disease also have an increased risk of life-threatening skin cancer, research has shown.

Results from different studies showed men with Parkinson's are twice as likely as those without the condition to develop melanoma.

Women were one and a half times more likely to suffer from melanoma if they had Parkinson's.

Melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer. Each year it claims more than 2, lives in the UK.
