House trashed after party advertised on Facebook

Police are investigating after up to 50 youngsters trashed a house during a party which had been advertised on Facebook.

Rachel Ross (15) had organised the gathering of friends at her home in Wallasey, Merseyside, on Friday while her parents attended a wedding.

But details of the event were placed on the social networking site and the house was overrun by gatecrashers. Her father Michael said the unwanted party-goers “ran riot”, urinating over the family's possessions and stealing heirlooms. A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: “Officers were called at around 12.15am on Saturday morning, from residents complaining of a noisy party.

“Officers were again called to the property by the owners the following day when they reported a significant amount of damage and some items taken from their home.”
