I guess I’m not on the Kate Moss Christmas card list, says a bewildered Jimmy Nesbitt

James Nesbitt has played down reports of a fall-out with Kate Moss, claiming his joke at an awards bash was “blown out of proportion”.

According to tabloid reports, the supermodel stormed out of the GQ Awards in London when host Nesbitt made a quip at her expense.

Nesbitt allegedly joked that the 35-year-old “has still got it. Well she should do, I gave it to her just before she came on stage.”

He then added: “What? I’m talking about my telephone number”.

His comments prompted a hissy-fit from Moss, who stormed out of the ceremony, declaring: “He’s so f***king rude. I’m never coming here again.”

But Nesbitt, who was at the Lyric Theatre’s unveiling of the new Threshold Stone yesterday, shrugged off the fuss surrounding his comments.

“I gave her a big introduction and to be honest, I can’t see what all the fuss is about,” he said.

“It’s all been blown out of proportion.”

Nesbitt said he had never met the model before, but joked: “I don’t think I’ll be on her Christmas card list.”
