Just born: Family is celebrating a fourth daughter

Johanna and Jonathon Kelham from Comber are celebrating the birth of their fourth daughter.

Florence was born at the Ulster Hospital on May 9 at 10.25am.

The beautiful baby girl weighed 7lbs 12oz and measured 53cms.

"It was a massive relief to see her," Johanna said.

"It was my fourth Caesarean, you never relax until they are out. It was lovely to know the scan was right, as we had bought a whole load of pink stuff.

"She looks like her sister Matilda. It's like looking at her all over again."

Florence's three big sisters – Daisy (14), Matilda (2) and Violet (1) – are enjoying the new addition to the family.

"They love her," Johanna said.

"They are brilliant with her. The two little ones want to hold her. Matilda is a real mother hen. Daisy is used to it all. She's had three new sisters in three years."

Proud dad Jonathon (38), an electrician, has accepted that it is his lot in life to be surround by girls.

"He was dying for a boy but as soon as we found out it was a girl he was over the moon," Johanna said.

"They are all daddy's girls."

Full-time mum Johanna (40) praised staff at the Ulster Hospital.

"They have always taken great care of me," she said. "They are really kind and encouraging. The auxiliary nurses are great too."

Johanna's parents are over visiting from Wales to help her while she recovers from her Caesarean.

"My mum and dad have been a great help," she said.
