Little uptake on Vatican offer to Church faithful
The Pope's invitation to Anglicans to join the Roman Catholic Church is likely to meet with little response in Northern Ireland.
Last week the Vatican took the Church of England by surprise in offering a legal structure to members of the Church of England who wish to transfer.
The offer was made to groups as well as individual clergy, but the uptake is uncertain. However, it may include 1,000 Anglican disaffected clergy who disagree with the Church of England on the ordination of women.
