McDaid murder suspects bailed

Two men arrested in connection with the murder of a Catholic community worker, have been released on bail.

Kevin McDaid (49) was beaten to death by a loyalist mob close to his home in the Heights area of Coleraine on May 4.

The men, aged 45 and 46, were arrested yesterday by Serious Crime Branch for Mr McDaid’s murder and the attempted murder of another man.
