Medics say Jade Goody has four weeks left to live

Jade Goody has been given less than four weeks to live, her husband Jack Tweed’s lawyer has said.

Jade was recovering in hospital following surgery to relieve pain in her bowel, as Tweed (21) was convicted of assaulting a taxi driver, an allegation he denied.

Tania Panagiotopoulou, speaking for Tweed at Epping Magistrates Court, told how Tweed has been caring for Jade and said: “She (Jade) has been given less than four weeks to live.”

Jade’s friend and publicist Max Clifford later said that while the situation was very bad in terms of her terminal cancer, “none of us know” exactly how long Jade would survive for.

He said that Jade was going to be disappointed at the court’s verdict on Tweed, but said he did not want to comment further about the case.

Magistrates adjourned sentencing until March 26 so reports can be prepared on Tweed’s background.

Jade was operated on on Monday night after being plagued with crippling stomach pains.

The 27-year-old reality TV star had surgery at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London following tests and was transferred to the Royal Marsden Hospital at around midday yesterday.

She emerged from an ambulance in a wheelchair and was taken inside.

Mr Clifford said the operation was vital as it could help improve her quality of life.

He said: “As far as we know it went fine. They seemed to be happy with it, from speaking to the hospital.”

Jade was taken to the Royal Marsden on Sunday night after she complained of unrelenting pain while at St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood, near Harlow, Essex.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that she was planning a new career helping cancer victims when she was diagnosed.

The star was training to help women who had lost a breast when she got her own news last August, her teacher has told Woman’s Own.
