Missing German tourist: Fears are raised over whereabouts of woman missing in Omagh

A German woman has gone missing in the Gortin area of Omagh.

She had arrived at the community centre in Gortin on Thursday and stated that she was going to the An Creggan Centre with the intention of going to Dunnamore to camp overnight.

She was due to return to the community centre on Friday, but failed to do so. She is described as being around 65 to 70 years old with shoulder-length white hair with a fringe and of slim build.

She was carrying a backpack and a plastic bag.

Police said the woman may have been in the Dunnamore and Draperstown areas on Friday morning and appealed for information.
