Motorcycle rider killed in Antrim collision

A man has died after his motorbike and a car collided on a stretch of road that claimed a teenager’s life last summer.

The collision happened yesterday afternoon on the Cushendall Road between Ballyvoy and Ballycastle in Co Antrim.

The road remained closed between the junctions of Carrickmore Road and Drumaroan Road late last night as police carried out investigations.

The dead man has not yet been named.

The PSNI has asked for anyone with information to contact officers in Coleraine on 0845 600 8000.

Last August an 18-year-old man died after a collision with a car on the same road.

Apprentice plumber Mark McKeegan from Cushendall was coming home from a night out in Ballycastle when the crash happened on the Cushendall Road.
