New chief is announced for Northern Ireland Hospice
Northern Ireland Hospice has announced its new chief executive officer.
Heather Weir has succeeded Professor Dame Judith Hill.
The chair of the board of trustees Billy Webb said: "Heather joins us at a critical time during our ongoing project to bring a new world class, state of the art dementia friendly hospice to Belfast, together with ongoing lobbying work, while continuing to maintain exemplary service standards in palliative and end of life care to adults, children and young people right across Northern Ireland."
Ms Weir was previously employed with the Marie Curie cancer charity and the hospice and said she was delighted to be back.
