Northern Bank trial adjourned until tomorrow

An expected significant development in the trial of a man accused of involvement in the 2004 Northern Bank robbery has been delayed by 24 hours.

Christopher Ward, aged 26, from west Belfast, is accused of robbing the bank of £26.5m and of holding a bank official colleague and his wife hostage.

He denies the charges.

His defence lawyers say he has no case to answer.
