£1.5m bar and nightclub to launch in Belfast
A new Belfast bar and nightclub is set to open its doors next week.
The Playwright Bar and TIME Nightclub - based at the old Fly building on Lower Crescent in the south of the city - has been developed by the 1 Oak Leisure Ireland group in a £1.5m investment. Covering three floors, the building will be able to accommodate 600 revellers and employ 60 people. The opening marks the first move into the city by 1 Oak Leisure Ireland which operates venues in Cookstown, Magherafelt and Strabane.
"We are very excited to bring the TIME brand to Belfast, along with The Playwright Bar, on the site of what was once one of the city's most popular establishments, in this prime location close to Queen's University Belfast," said group marketing manager Laura McGillion.
The official opening is next Saturday.
