£13,000 from ATM robbery still missing, court told
Police have yet to recover £13,000 stolen during a raid on a cash machine in Co Tyrone last year, the High Court has heard.
Prosecutors claimed the money could be "disposed of" if a man charged with taking the ATM is released from custody.
Eugene Tomany (32), of Glen Road in Keady, Co Armagh, denies carrying out the theft.
A digger was used to rip the Danske Bank machine containing £13,000 from the wall of a store at Fintona on December 22.
Crown lawyer Conor Maguire said the money remains missing.
A previous court heard Tomany was being investigated in connection with other ATM-related incidents. But the prosecution disclosed police interviews have resulted in no further charges.
Defence counsel Michael Boyd said "the spectre of other ATM thefts" no longer hung over the case. The bail application was adjourned.
