1,500 schoolgirls on the ball at mega footie fest in Northern Ireland
Over 120 teams took part in the biggest football day of the year for girls in Northern Ireland.
Yesterday the Electric Ireland IFA super school festival saw up to 1,500 young girls play in a series of matches between schools from across the province.
The games used 25 pitches at Mallusk Playing Fields.
Electric Ireland has sponsored the event for the past two years and is continuing to help boost the game through its campaign Game Changers.
Teacher Joanne Nicholl, whose school St Cecilia's College in Derry took part, said: "It's a great day out and a real special occasion."
