£2k reward as Northern Ireland firm hit by thieves posts images of the break-in

A Maghera business is offering a £2,000 reward after thieves stole plant machinery during an early-morning burglary.

Police are investigating the incident, which occurred between 3am and 4am yesterday at MFL Plant Machinery on the town's Glen Road.

The firm posted images of the break-in on social media, which showed two individuals clad in black forcing open a door and stealing equipment.

The business appealed for anyone with information to come forward, stating: "Our premises were broken into this morning (Tuesday) at 3:45am.

"A quantity of Milwaukee power tools were stolen, however the damages caused are more substantial.

"A £2,000 reward will be given for info leading to prosecution."

A PSNI spokesman said that they were "investigating the report of a burglary at commercial premises".

He added: "It is believed that entry was forced to the property sometime between 3am and 4am and items of plant machinery reported stolen.

"Officers are investigating and would ask anyone with any information to contact them in Magherafelt on 101 quoting reference number 130 13/03/18."
