68-year-old faces terror charges

A man has been charged with a number of offences related to dissident republican activity.

Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch arrested the 68-year-old in west Belfast on Tuesday.

He has since been charged with four offences, including two counts of having a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life, possession of items for terrorist purposes, and offences under the explosive substances act.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court today.
