Nearly 700 sheep believed to have been illegally moved from the Republic have been recovered by police in Co Fermanagh.

The PSNI teamed up with enforcement officers from the Department of Agriculture to recover 670 sheep from premises in the Bellanaleck and Derrylin area on Tuesday.

Inspector Roy Robinson, the PSNI's sector commander, said it was part of an ongoing probe into the movement of sheep.

"We have carried out many operations – this is the most significant find."
