Abandoned Christmas pups seeking new home

By Donna Deeney

Two adorable pups abandoned after Christmas are looking for new families to love them.

The two cross breeds are being looked after by kind-hearted Violet Dennehy, who fosters cats and dogs for Grovehill Animal Trust in Omagh.

Flora was just eight weeks when she was found in Gortin Glen forest in early January. Oscar was handed in by a family who decided they didn't want him at just 12 weeks old.

"Every year we try to get the message out about buying dogs as Christmas presents but not everyone listens, unfortunately," said Violet. "These are two really lovely dogs and they will make wonderful pets."
