Abuse aquittal for ex-GAA star

A former GAA star has been acquitted of sexually abusing two boys after the Crown |offered no further evidence against him.

Following a defence application at Belfast Crown Court, Judge Philip Babington directed the jury to acquit 71-year-old Brendan |Hull, of Ballynure Street, Belfast, of two counts of sexually assaulting a child in September 2009 and one charge of engaging in a sex act in the presence of a child on a date unknown last year.
