Hundreds of mourners walked through snow yesterday to pay their final respects to a Co Londonderry man killed in a tragic accident.

Ian Patterson (44) died last Friday after he was electrocuted while changing a light bulb in a shed at his home.

His parents, David and Lorna, and their surviving son Stephen led mourners to St Paul's Church in Articlave where Rev Adam Quigley added his words of comfort.

Mr Patterson was described as a "devoted and loving father" to his two children, Lewis and Neve.

The TV aerial and satellite dish installer was a well regarded businessman in the close-knit community of Articlave.
