Accused denies grooming schoolgirl
A man accused of grooming a vulnerable schoolgirl for sex allegedly went with her to the doctors to discuss contraception, the High Court has heard.
Dermot MacBrien (48) is also suspected of buying her gifts.
MacBrien was arrested but denied any wrongdoing.
A judge at a bail hearing was told the accused's DNA matched semen stains found in underwear belonging to the alleged victim.
MacBrien, of Derrin Road, Enniskillen, faces charges of grooming and sexual touching of a girl aged between 13 and 16. The alleged offences occurred between January and November last year.
Adjourning the application for his release, Mr Justice Weir said: "Any address that isn't a considerable distance away from where this child is living, as far as I'm concerned, is not suitable."
