Albertbridge Road crash: Man seriously injured in Belfast collision

UPDATE: Road has reopened.

An elderly man has been taken to hospital following a crash on the Albertbridge Road in Belfast on Friday afternoon.

It is understood he was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital following the crash that happened at about 3.30pm.

The Albertbridge Road, which was closed following the collision, has reopened.

Police are appealing for information. Inspector Ian McCormick asked for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident to contact Police at Strandtown on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 767 19/05/17.
