Annual Festival Of Fools to put Belfast in a spin again
Fun and foolishness will be the order of the day at a festival for all ages over the May Day bank holiday.
The Festival Of Fools will welcome clowns, jugglers, and artists from all over the world to Belfast from April 29 until May 2. And Writers' Square will once again be turned into an arts hub where the public can try their hands at portraits and more.
Audiences will be invited to watch an attempt by unicyclists to break a world record. There will also be tasty treats on offer at the Festival Of Foods, which runs alongside the event.
Festival director Will Chamberlain said: "I think the festival is a fantastic balance between skill and bonkers humour. What other event promises hip-hop, DJs, puppetry, magic, acrobatics, circus and extreme silliness over a long weekend?" Festival co-ordinator Sarah Kelly added: "I'm really excited about the programme, which is packed with acrobatic impossibilities, record-breaking unicycling, award-winning juggling, circus, surreal encounters and oodles of laughter."
