Appeal after 14-year-old suffers suspected broken jaw at football match

The PSNI has appealed for information following an assault on a 14-year-old boy at a football match in Dundonald last month.

It was reported that the boy received a suspected hairline fracture to his jaw and damage to his teeth after being assaulted during a match at football grounds on the Comber Road.

The incident happened at around 12.30pm on Saturday August 26.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact officers in Lisburn on the non-emergency number 101 quoting the reference 808 with the date 26/08/2017.

Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
