Appeal after boy is struck by taxi

Police in south Belfast are appealing for information about a collision involving a black taxi and a boy aged eight.

The incident happened at approximately 7.45pm on Monday.

The boy was crossing Sandy Row when a black coloured Hackney cab turned into Sandy Row from the Donegall Road.

The vehicle struck the boy, throwing him into the air.

Police are keen to speak to the taxi driver and the occupants of a car who offered assistance to the boy.
