Appeal after burglary at north Belfast apartment

Police have issued an appeal for information following a burglary at an apartment in North Belfast on Sunday morning.

The incident took place in the Queens Square area around 6.30am.

A man in his 60's disturbed a man who had forced entry to his apartment.

The burglar was described as being aged in his early 20s, approximately 5’8”-5’9” tall and of slim build with black hair. He made off empty handed.

Detective Constable Reynolds is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a man matching the description of the suspect, or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to call detectives in Musgrave on 101, quoting reference 386 10/02/19. 

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
