Appeal for information following attempted bank robbery in Larne

The PSNI are appealing for witnesses following an attempted bank robbery in Larne.

A report was made at around 2.30pm that a man, whose identity is currently unknown, entered Danske Bank on Main Street and demanded money.

He was unsuccessful, and made off from the bank empty handed.

He is described as being 5'6'' tall, small to medium build, and was wearing a blue sports-type jacket with blue tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Detective Sergeant Crothers is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who might have information about it to contact Detectives in Larne on 101, and to quote the reference number 702 of 03/07/2017.
