Police have appealed for information following reports of a burglary in north Belfast on Monday.

The burglary took place at a home in the Cliftonville Avenue area.

It was reported that a laptop, a sum of money and bank cards were stolen from the property.

An older person was inside at the time of the incident, but was not injured.

"Enquiries are continuing," Detective Constable Rafferty said.

"We would appeal to anyone with any information to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 445 27/8/18. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
