Appeal for video over Mater Hospital incident
The Police Ombudsman has issued an appeal for witnesses over an incident at Belfast's Mater Hospital.
Investigators are considering an allegation of assault made against police.
It is understood an altercation broke out in the hospital sometime between 8pm and midnight on Tuesday, March 26.
A spokesman for the Police Ombudsman said the incident involved two police officers and a member of the public.
He added: “We believe some people may have recorded video footage of the incident on their mobile phones, and would be particularly keen to hear from them or anyone else who saw what happened.
“If you believe you can help, our witness appeal line is 0800 032 7880.”
The Police Ombudsman investigations complaints made about the conduct of police officers.
