Ardoyne flat murder: two are charged

Two men have been charged with the murder of a man in north Belfast in the early hours of last Saturday morning.

Eamonn Ferguson was found dead in a flat in Ardoyne Place.

Two men, aged 26 and 31, were arrested on suspicion of the 35-year-old's murder later on Saturday.

Police were granted extra time to question the pair on Sunday.

They were formally charged with the murder last night and are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court today.

Detectives believe that Mr Ferguson got into a row at a party before he was killed. Some reports suggested he had been shot, while others said the victim had been stabbed.

Police have not released the findings of a post-mortem examination.
