Ardoyne shop robbed by three masked men armed with hammer, axe and electric saw

Three men armed with a hammer, a pick axe and an electric saw have robbed a shop in north Belfast.

Shortly after 11pm on Thursday three masked men entered the shop on the Ardoyne Road brandishing weapons.

All of the staff were forced back into the store and one of the suspected attacked the ATM, however he was unable to open it.

The men took a sum of cash from a till and made off in a dark-coloured saloon car.

There were two members of staff and one customer in the store at the time of this incident. They were not injured, however they were all left extremely shaken by their ordeal.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact Detectives at Musgrave on 101 1643 29/03/18.
