By Cate McCurry

The funeral has taken place of well-known Co Armagh businessman Denis 'Danny' Doran, whose hardware store sold everything from a "needle to an anchor".

Denis passed away on Thursday at Craigavon Area Hospital.

It was often said: "If Danny Doran's doesn't have it, it hasn't been made."

Mr Doran, who was in his 90s, worked in the Lurgan store until his late 80s. He was the husband of the late Rose and father to John, Eddie, Catherine and the late Mary, and grandfather of Molly.

His funeral took place on Saturday at St Peter's Church in Lurgan.

Social media tributes poured in. One said: "From a needle to an anchor he had it. Many memories of this man and shop."
