Armed robbers threaten staff in north Belfast

Two armed robbers raided a shop in north Belfast and stole a sum of money after threatening staff with a gun.

The raid took place at a premises in the Oldpark Road area on Wednesday at around 8pm.

Money was stolen and staff threatened. Another armed robbery took place earlier on the same day at the nearby Cliftonville Road area. Shortly after 9.20am, a male entered commercial premises and brandished a knife.

He made off with a sum of money and a quantity of pharmaceuticals.
