Armed robbery appeal

Detectives in Castlereagh are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a convenience store last weekend.

Shortly before 7am on Saturday, August 14, a man described as being of slim build and approx 5ft 11in entered the premises on the Ballygowan road close to the Castlereagh junction and threatened staff with what appears to have been a claw type hammer.

He made off with a quantity of cigarettes in a white Vauxhall Astra.
