Armed robbery at bookies

Detectives are appealing for information about a robbery on the Antrim Road last week.

Shortly after 7.50pm on Thursday, November 18, police received a report that a man armed with what appeared to be a blackhandgun had entered a betting shop close to Duncairn Avenue.

The man demanded cash from a female member of staff and made his escape on foot with a sum of money.

The thief was wearing a grey hooded jacket and tracksuit trousers with stripes along the side. He was also wearing white trainers.

Anyone with information should contact detectives on 0845 600 8000, or the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
