Armed youth in botched raid

Detectives in Craigavon are appealing for witnesses to the attempted robbery of a grocery store on the Tullygally Road.

At around 8.10pm on Friday, February 25, a male youth |wearing a blue hooded top and a striped scarf across his face entered a shop and threatened staff with what appeared to be a sawn-off shotgun.

He demanded cash, but left empty-handed. It is thought he made his getaway on a scooter.

The PSNI believe there were quite a few people in the area on the night in question. Anyone with information can contact detectives on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously via the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
