Police are appealing for witnesses after an altercation between three men in Co Antrim left two males with stab wounds.

The incident took place in the Glentaisie Park area of Portrush on Thursday around 10.30pm.

Yesterday, detective inspector Peter McKenna issued an appeal for information, revealing that the injured men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were taken to hospital but stressed their stab wounds were not "life-threatening".

"A male in his late teens was arrested close to the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and affray. He is currently in police custody," he added.

"We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the altercation to contact detectives in Coleraine on 101, quoting reference number 2229 25/07/19."
