Arrests after reports of shots fired in Co Down village

Three people have been arrested after reports of shots fired at a property in a Co Down village.

Two men, aged 25 and 39, and a woman aged 21, are in police custody after the incident at a house in the Castleview area of Killyleagh.

Two men who were present at the property at the time of incident were not injured, but were left badly shaken.

Detective Sergeant Mark Crothers has said the they believe the incident happened before 7am on Sunday morning.

Police are appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious persons or activity in the vicinity at around 5.30am-6am.

The public are asked to contact detectives in Ardmore on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the reference number 378 with the date 14/01/2018.
