It's understood a bin was set on fire in a communal hallway in the building.

Police have said at this stage, it is believed the fire was started deliberately.

A total of nine people - including a four-month-old baby girl - were rescued.

All were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
