Two fishermen have been airlifted to hospital after their trawler sank nearly ten miles off the County Down coast, the RNLI has said.
The crew of the Ardglass-registered boat the Snowdonia were rescued by another fishing boat. They had been in the water for five to ten minutes.
A lifeboat from Kilkeel assisted. When it arrived, crew boarded the rescue boat and gave oxygen to combat shock caused by the cold water.
A spokesman from the RNLI said the Dublin coastguard helicopter had taken the men to Daisy Hill hospital in Newry.
The water was choppy with an easterly wind.
