Thousands braved the wet weather to enjoy the St Patrick's day festivities in Derry.
Celebrations kicked off in spectacular style in Derry with a carnival parade.
Revellers lined the city centre streets transforming them in to a sea of green.
While the celebrations were in honour of Ireland's patron saint, the City of Culture had plenty of nods to cultures and traditions from around the world.
Thousands took to the streets ahead of the Spring Carnival Parade from Derry City Council's offices. The theme for the day was 'All Kinds of Everything' -- a song made famous by Derry's own Dana.
