The couple celebrate the arrivals following artificial insemination.

On Monday Mrs Corr-Johnston wrote on Facebook that all being well, they were getting set to meet their "little munchkins" on Wednesday and that "in preparation I plan to throw the feet up today and tomorrow and will be out of action for a short while until we get them home and settled."

Mrs Corr-Johnston (29) was Northern Ireland's first openly lesbian loyalist politician.

In November 2014 she was walked down the aisle by her mother when she entered into a civil partnership with Kerry Johnston.
