Bag £50 in council contest

Bin your litter and bag yourself £50 in a new online game that’s part of Belfast City Council’s ‘Litter. It’s not a good look’ campaign.

The council has teamed up with Victoria Square in Belfast to offer successful ‘litter busters’ the chance to win a £50 gift card to spend in-store when they play its new Facebook game. All you need to do is log on to your Facebook, download the ‘Litter Buster’ app and have a go.

Councillor Ian Adamson, chairman of Belfast City Council’s Health and Environmental Services Committee, said: “There are still an unacceptable number of people who feel it’s ok to drop litter, and research shows that this tends to be people in the 18-35 age group. We thought the Facebook game would be a new and interesting way of targeting that key audience with the council’s anti-litter message — and of course there is the added incentive of winning a Victoria Square gift card.”
