Ballyclare parade: Lodges put a spring in their step
Junior Orangemen and women seized the opportunity to bask in the warm spring sun as they rested at the field during yesterday's Belfast Junior Country Orange Lodge parade in Ballyclare.
The junior parade - which kicked off at 12.30pm - is one of the first events in the annual Orange parading calendar.
The longstanding holiday procession has been held on an annual basis since 1919.
Senior officers and juniors representing three Belfast Districts, and a number of other lodges from across Northern Ireland, took part in the colourful parade.
A substantial crowd had turned out to watch the brethren and bands as the demonstration made its way through the east Antrim town to the field, held this year at the Sixmilewater playing fields.
