Ballyclare riot: 11th arrest made
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with rioting in Ballyclare.
He was detained yesterday on suspicion of rioting and other offences relating to serious street disorder which broke out after police removed Union flags in the Doagh Road and Grange estate areas of the Co Antrim town in July.
Police deployed water cannon and fired baton rounds when trouble flared.
This latest arrest brings to 11 the total number of people questioned.
Six men were charged over the riots, three have been released pending further inquiries and one man was released pending a report.
Nationalist politicians had criticised the PSNI's handling of the investigation into the Ballyclare riots and claimed that police were not making enough arrests.
