Two people arrested following a stabbing in Ballymena have both been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The PSNI was alerted to the incident in Waveney Road by ambulance crews at around 1pm on Thursday.

The victim, a 30 year old man, was discovered in a flat and was taken to hospital. He was described on Friday as being in a "stable condition".

A man and women, both ages 23, were arrested at the scene.
