Beach party the theme for city market's twilight event

By Jackie Bell

The Twilight Market at St George's in Belfast is set to return next week, with a summer beach party theme. The second of three specially-themed events for 2017 will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The market will run from 4pm to 11pm each day and admission is free.

Visitors can sample artisan local food, drink and craft stalls, with a programme of entertainment and cookery demonstrations scheduled for each day.

Music will be supplied by local artists The Jazzmeisters, Robin Martin, Jim 'The King' Brown and The Motown Sensations.

St George's Market was packed with enthusiastic shoppers for the last twilight event.

Top local chefs, who include Kate Allen from Thai-Tanic and Stephen Jeffers, will be sharing recipes, while there will be a cocktail masterclass each evening.

The summer beach party follows the success of the winter market last November.
