Beeman buzzing his way to Dromore

A world famous beekeeper known for his buzzing wit and repartee is set to wing his way to Co Down next week for a seminar on his favourite subject.

Following in a long line of beekeepers, Philip McCabe, who follows in the apiaristic footsteps of his father and grandfather, will be spreading the word on how best to manage bees in spring in a lecture at the Dromore Beekeepers’ Association on April 17 at Dromore High School.

Mr McCabe is Director of Apimondia, the international beekeeping organisation and hails from Dundalk in County Louth, from which he is a regular flying visitor to Dromore.

The expert beekeeper is known as a most entertaining speaker who illustrates his talks with amusing anecdotes from his vast experience.
