Belfast city centre to reopen to traffic following Primark fire
The Castle Place junction in Belfast city centre is set to reopen to traffic on Thursday.
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has announced that new traffic lights will be in place.
However the road will not be open to regular road users.
Only vehicles permitted to access the city centre, such as bikes, buses, blue badge holders and delivery vehicles will be able to use the reopened roads.
Approved vehicles will be able to travel from Royal Avenue to Castle Place or Donegall Place and from Castle Place to Donegall Place.
Much of the area had been sealed off and closed to traffic following the Primark fire last August.
Normal pedestrian facilities will also be available around the junction.
A DfI spokesperson said that pedestrians should be reminded to take care now that vehicles will again be travelling in the area.
