Belfast City Hall gets beach party makeover for bank holiday Monday
Pull out the sunglasses and the flip-flops - the seaside is coming to Belfast!
The grounds of City Hall will be transformed into a beach on bank holiday Monday complete with deck chairs, buckets and spades and even a barbecue.
The beach party is one of a series of events planned by Lord Mayor Nichola Mallon aimed at making the historic building more open.
"Families are always looking for ways to entertain young people on a bank holiday and this seemed the perfect way to provide it," she said.
Monday's beach party will also include face-painting, inflatables, body zorbing and balloon making, street entertainment, samba music and a DJ. The event runs from 11am to 5pm and is free.
